T - 20 World Cup , Women - 

World Cup is played in two formats - One day format and T - 20 format . First One - dat format was played in 1973 at England . First T - 20 format was played in 2009 in England . In this article will discuss about T - 20 World Cup , women in detail.

First time women twenty world cup was played in 2009 at England. The final match was played between England and Newzeland . England won the title by defeating Newzeland. 


2. A journey of T - 20 world Cup , women from 2009 to 2022 - 


Women twenty world Cup - 2009 - 


This is the first season of Women twenty world cup held at England. Total 8 team participated and 15 matches were played among 8 countries . First match was played between West Indies and south Africa . West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first and set a score of 123 runs in 20 overs , while chasing south africa team got all out at  score of  119 runs . West Indies won the match by 4 runs . The final match was played between Newzeland and England. England won the toss and elected to field first . Newzeland bat first and scored 85 runs in 20 overs , while chasing England scored 86 - 4 in 17.4 overs . England won the match by 6 wickets .

Women twenty world cup - 2010 - 

This is the 2nd season of Women twenty world cup hosted by West Indies . Total 8 teams played 15 matches in season . The first match was played between West Indies and South Africa. South Africa won the toss and elected to field first . West Indies bat first and scored 175 - 5 in 20 overs , while chasing South Africa scored 158 - 4 in 20 overs . West Indies won by 17 runs . The final match was played between Australia and Newzeland. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 106 - 8 in 20 overs , while chasing Newzeland scored 103 -6 in 20 overs . Australia won by 3 runs and won the first title of Women twenty World Cup

Women twenty World Cup - 2012 - 


This third season was held at Srilanka . Total 8 teams played 15 matches in the season . The first match was played between England and Pakistan. Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first , England scored 133 - 6 in 20 overs , while chasing Pakistan got all out at score of 90 runs in 19.4 overs. England won by 43 runs . The final match was played between Australia and England , England won the toss and elected to field , Australia scored 142 - 4 in 20 overs , while chasing England scored 138 - 9 in 20 overs . Australia won the second title by defeating England .

Women twenty world Cup - 2014 - 

This fourth season hosted by Bangladesh for the first time . Total 10 teams participated and 27 matches were played among the 10 countries in the season . First match was played between australia and Newzeland . Australia won the toss and elected to field . Newzeland 128 - 8 in 20 overs , while chasing Australia got all out at 121 runs in 19.3 overs. The final match was played between England and Australia . England bat first and and scored 105 - 8 in 20- overs ,  while chasing Australia scored 106 - 4 in 15.1 overs . Australia won third title of Women world cup by defeating England .

Fifth season of Women twenty world cup was hosted by India . Total 10 countries participated and 23 matches were played in the season. First match was played between Srilanka and Newzeland . The final match was played between Australia and west indies, Australia won the toss and elected to bat and scored 149 - 5 in 20 overs , while chasing West Indies scored 149 - 2 in 19 .3 overs . West Indies won first title of Women cup by defeating Australia .

The final match was played between England and Australia . England won the toss and elected to bat and scored 105 runs in 19.4 overs , while chasing Australia scored 106 - 2  in 15.1 overs . Australia won fourth title by defeating England .

Australia won the toss and elected to field first . India scored 132 - 4 in 20 overs while chasing Australia got all out at 115 run in 19.5 overs . India won the match by 17 runs . 

Semi final 1 - India vs England 

Match abandoned , Indian team qualified for  final by finishing top of Group A . 


Semi Final - 2 - Australia vs South Africa 

Australia won by 5 run . 


Final - India vs Australia 

Australia won the toss and elected to bat . Australia scored 185 - 4 in 20 overs , while chasing Indian team got all out a score of 99 in 19.1 overs . Australia women by 85 runs and won the fifth title by defeating India .
